Entry and Career

Creating an Optimal Entry

Starting your career is one of the most important steps you can make in life. That is why Mars is supporting sound and qualified training. Apart from the current 20 management trainees, Mars continuously employs more than 50 apprentices in addition to annually approx. 30 interns.

  • School leavers: As part of a commercial or technical apprenticeship, the future Bachelors of Arts, Bachelors of Engineering, Industrial Management Assistants, Electronic Technicians, Mechatronic Technicians or Industrial Confectionery Technicians pass through all relevant departments in the company, complemented by additional academic training at the business academy or vocational school.
  • Students: Three to six month internships and thesis work as independent projects.
  • Graduates: Participation in a three-year Management Development Program or direct entry into a specific department.

Personal Development

At Mars, learning means individual development of your full potential. Continuous development of all associates is a fundamental part of our Human Resources Policy. Development opportunities, contents and objectives are discussed with all associates every year in a Personal Development Plan (PDP) and lead to an individually agreed development process, differentiated by personal, team and functional aspects. As for content, these measures range from language courses to management methods and on to cover personality development. Special development offerings are available at the Mars University – a global training platform for associates at all sites.
