Mars Deutschland presents travelling exhibition "No business diversity without biodiversity" of the Business & Biodiversity initiative of the BMU

Mars is a member of the "Biodiversity in Good Company" initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. A central element of the initiative is a travelling exhibition that will be touring throughout Germany during the "International Year of Biological Diversity". Mars is presenting this exhibition from 6 July to 15 August 2010 in the Orangery of the Botanical Garden of Heinrich-Heine University, Düsseldorf. Admission is free.
The interactive exhibition explains the direct relationship between economic activities and impacts on the environment. Visitors receive answers to questions such as "What does overfishing have to do with unemployment?" and "When can economic growth become dangerous?"
The heart of the exhibition is an interactive terminal. Via its user interface, visitors can undertake a journey around the world, discovering nature and learning about trailblazing projects in the field of biological diversity. The Business and Biodiversity initiative "Biodiversity in Good Company" hopes that the exhibition will raise public awareness of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) that is being held in Nagoya, Japan, in October 2010 and which high-ranking government delegations from more than 190 nations are expected to attend.
